Account Manager • Part Time

Daily & Weekly Responsibilities:
- Make an average of 8 calls per hour to clients and potential leads listed in the database for both initial outreach and follow-up.
- Send timely emails to confirm client participation and provide follow-up support as needed.
- Maintain and update the ERP (Enterprise Resource Platform) with daily activities, including client-specific contact information, interactions, follow-up details, and other pertinent information.
- Conduct additional data mining, research, and prospecting as needed to grow your customer databases.
- Meet with Sales Management weekly to review your action plan and discuss weekly Key Performance Indicators (K.P.I’s).
Weekly Schedule:
- Monday–Friday, 25-30 hours per week. Hours are subject to change and may increase based on workload.
- Ideal Account Manager’s daily schedule will be 9:30am - 3:30pm (30 hours per week).
Requirements:
- This position is part time and “in person” in our Troy, MI office.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport and establishing trust with clients via phone and email.
- Results-driven approach with a proactive mindset toward sales and client satisfaction.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency with computer programs, especially Apple computers, software and applications, Google Products including Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets and Microsoft products including Excel. Outlook and Word. Our in-house ERP (Enterprise Resource Platform).
- As part of our hiring process, candidates are required to sign a nondisclosure agreement, noncompete agreement, and a diversity and inclusion commitment statement.
Compensation / Benefits:
- Annual compensation range $70,000 - $100,000 - base plus, commission
- $20.00 per hour / 25-30 hours per week paid weekly on Thursdays via direct deposit.
- Commissions are paid monthly based on monies received during the previous month from your exhibitors.
- Monthly bonuses are paid based on achieving the necessary requirements
- Following completion of a new hire's 90-day probationary period, you will be entitled to 10 days (80 hours) of PTO per calendar year.
- PTO can be used at the employee's discretion for vacation days, sick days, and personal time.

Key Responsibilities:
- Complete pre-event tasks including data-entry, coordinating equipment rentals and catering orders
- Travel to event locations in advance of each show to prepare and set up equipment, supplies, and materials according to provided checklists
- Review floor plans, prepare day-of show materials, manage inventory, and input travel and production expenses into the ERP system
- Coordinate exhibitor booth/table assignments, accommodate special requests, and serve as the primary point of contact for exhibitor needs
- Provide high-level customer service to exhibitors and attendees before and during events
- Manage and delegate tasks to on-site event staff, ensuring smooth operations and quick resolution of issues or emergencies
- Execute events to company standards, ensuring a positive experience for exhibitors, attendees, and account representatives
- Complete post-event tasks including show recaps, photo submissions to marketing, documentation processing, and balancing production accounts
Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and effectively with exhibitors, attendees, and internal team members.
- Proven problem-solving skills, with the ability to address inquiries, issues, and concerns quickly and effectively.
- Ability to plan, coordinate, and organize all aspects of events, including pre-event preparation, on-site setup, show execution, and post-event follow-up.
- Proficient computer skills, including working knowledge and experience with Excel and Google Sheets.
- Ability to develop a thorough understanding of GMG’s ERP system and continuously adapt to its features and workflows to support daily operations and business processes.
- Capable of working independently while also collaborating effectively with team members in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- This is a primary, full-time, in-office position that requires travel. Candidates must be flexible and willing to work in various locations as needed. All travel expenses are covered by GMG.
- Must meet minimum age requirements to legally rent a car and stay in a hotel.
